MON GUERLAIN | Spring Fragrance

As always 2017 is flying and this time round I aim to enjoy every single day before I find myself saying Happy New Year again!! Spring is in full swing! This time of year I think of pastel colours fresh makeup, tulips and hopefully sunnier days. The first thing I like to do is my spring cleaning getting rid of the old to make room for the new, packing up ‘some’ of my winter clothes..let’s be honest British weather is just unpredictable. But my favourite thing is looking for the perfect spring fragrance.

Let me tell you the new fragrance Mon Guerlain by Guerlain is everything!! If you’re looking for the perfect spring fragrance that’s fresh, feminine, delicate and makes a statement then look no more. I can’t get enough of it!

What’s your spring fragrance?

THE BODY SHOP – Intensely Revitalising Eye-Cream Gel

I’m sure we all know by now that the skin around the eye area is quite delicate and needs extra care when it comes to product application. I’ll admit I’m sometimes not the best when it comes to looking after the eye area, but since becoming pregnant I’ve had to take extra care of my skin. Which is where Oils of Life Eye-Cream Gel comes to the rescue. I mean concealer is my holy grail product because it makes me look like I have a full uninterrupted nights sleep which has become a complete myth these days haha! So if you have dark circles or the skin around the eye is looking a little dull this is definitely for you!

What I personally love is the cream-gel consistency because it’s not too heavy on the skin and it’s perfect combination of cream and gel. What you don’t want is product build up especially when you put on your makeup and it starts creasing..ain’t nobody got time for that! I’ve been using it this as part of my daily skincare routine morning and evening for some time now and I’m loving the way it leaves my skin. I’d recommend this product for any skin type. The Body Shop Intensely Revitalising Eye-Cream Gel really adds that extra moisture and protection your skin needs by infusing three precious seed oils known for their revitalising and repairing properties.

Oh Baby!

If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat you’ll know I made the biggest announcement on Valentine’s Day! I can’t believe I’m going to be a mama!! So much has changed in my life in just 6 months and in just 2 months I’m going to have my own little human to love and spoil. My pregnancy has been such an emotional rollercoaster of hormones and changes and as challenging as it sometimes is, I know it’s worth it for my little peanut.

Now that I’m in my 3rd trimester I’m feeling the kicks and somersaults even more which is so exciting, with all of that fun stuff comes back aches and sleepless nights trying to get comfortable. Bedtime involves 3 pillows strategically placed to make sure I don’t roll onto my back, 1 to support my growing tummy and another in-between my legs to support my pelvic alignment.

I now know my little human’s routine and this little one is going to want to party at night haha..when it’s bedtime for me it’s party time from about 9pm onwards with rib kicks and my bladder used as a trampoline! I’m smiling as I’m writing this,  just the thought of growing a human is one of the most surreal and miraculous experiences, honestly God is amazing!! Can’t wait to share more of my final months of pregnancy, I’ll be sharing my favourite pregnancy products, foods, clothes etc.

Skincare – Drops of Light Collection

dropsoflightfeature

When it comes to skincare I love trying new products. I have combination skin where my t-zone is drier than the rest of my face so I like to use heavier creams all season, sometimes switching to lighter creams depending on how my skin feels.  So when I received the Drops of Light collection from the Body Shop I was more than delighted to try them out.

Of all skincare products I am obsessed with serums, elixirs, concentrates etc. The Brightening Serum and the Essence Lotion is the perfect addition to my routine and it doesn’t leave a residue on your skin. You don’t want products feeling heavy on your skin so this serum is the perfect 1st layer of your application. According to The Body Shop it is, “A very lightweight serum that absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it velvety soft and shine free. Clinically proven to reduce the number and intensity of dark spots.” Now the Essence Lotion I love especially during winter especially because it is a gel-to-water formulation! It penetrates the skin so quickly and adds extra hydration especially with the drying effects of the winter cold.

So the last step is the Day Cream and the Multi-Protection Essence. The day cream is a lightweight formulation so if you you love lighter moisturisers then this is perfect for you! But for me I’d use it in the summer because it’s lighter than I usually prefer. The Multi-Protection Essence is an absolute favourite and I never leave the house without applying! It is “A feather light, milk-to-water essence with broad spectrum UV filters, brightening red algae and antioxidant Vitamin C, to help protect skin against multiple skin aggressors, while providing utmost comfort.” AND it is SPF 50!! what more can you ask for!

Overall I love the whole collection, I can easily mix and match the products depending on what my skin needs.

Have you tried any of the products in the Drops of Light collection? Which one is your favourite?
